This is a Disasters Emergency Appeal for our brothers and sisters in Comoro Island (Ngazija), East Africa As you may have heard the heavy monsoon rain has devastated the Comoro Island which has been battered by torrential rains for more than 1 week and affected more than 100,000 people, resulted in many deaths, casualties and damaged infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and water and sanitation systems

The floodwaters covered over a fifth of the country, putting population men, woman and children at risk. Forced to flee their homes and communities, children have become vulnerable to water-borne diseases like cholera, malaria and skin infections diseases as a result of contaminated water supplies and overflowing latrine.
