Business delegation from mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar heading to Brazil for 10 days





Delegation led by the Honorary Consul of the Federative Republic of Brazil, who is also Chairman of Tanzania Oil & Gas Service Providers (ATOGS), Board Director of East Africa Business Council (EABC) and Board Director of Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) H.E. Abdulsamad Abdulrahim have jetted off to Republic of Brazil accompanied by a group of Tanzanian Government officials and Businessman to the first Trade Mission to Brazil.

 H.E Abdulsamad was accompanied by; Ambassador Mohamed Hamza Deputy Director Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for East Africa, Director of America in the Ministry of Foreign Afairs, Dr Said Ali Director of Zanzibar State Trade Cooperation (ZSTC), Mr. Haji Kali Director General of Zanzibar Utilities Regulatory Authorities (ZURA), Representative from Tanzania Private Sector (TPSF), Directors of Oil & Gas company, Trade and Business entrepreneurs from mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. 

The 10 days’ mission aimed at identifying strategic partners in exploring business opportunities, showcasing Tanzanian products and resources as well as knowledge finding mission to gaining experience used to by Brazil to industrialize and promote their country. 

Delegation will also meet and engage with buyers, traders, exporters and importers commodities; species, seaweed, cloves, ginger, millet, cashew-nuts, tourism, energy, hotels room buyers, hardware, commodities, industrialization, real estate, fishing, livestock and agricultural business etc The Trade Mission objectives is designed to:

 • Help Tanzanian companies enter the Brazilian Market

 • To identify strategic partners in exploring opportunities in Tanzania. 

• Networking with influential people in the business community. 

• Site visits to local manufacturing and assembling facilities where your technologies/services and products may be applied. 

• Meetings and Roundtables with Government agencies and private sector decision makers • Promote Tanzania brands and products to Brazilian buyers. 

• Gain insights, make industry contacts, solidify business strategist and advance specific technologies
 • Learn about SMEs, Agricultural and industrial revolution While in Brazil, the mission will have opportunity to meet and engage with the following bodies:

 • Petrobras Oil and Gas state company and service providing companies; 

• Brazilian Petrol and Gas Institute; 

• Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX); 

• National Confederation of Industry (NCI); 

• Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE); 

• DIPAO, Ministry of Agriculture; 

• WFP Centre of Excellence and Technology incubators; 

• Brazilian Tourism Board (Embratur) and Ministry of Tourism; 

• Courtesy call to the Embassy of Tanzania; 

• Federation of the Industries of the State of Sao Paulo (FIESP); 

• Meeting with business communities and manufacturing to exchange knowledge and create partnership; 

• Meeting with Brazilian successful entrepreneurs and woman; 

• Association of Animal Protein (ABPA)- Poultry & Agriculture; 

• Tour of various major cities such as Brasilia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro;

 • Visit small-scale industries of poultry, meat processing, Trade, Agriculture, Aviation and Tourism;
