Invitation for Tenders

1. This
Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Supply
which appeared in Zanzibar Leo Issue No. 5418 dated 28/06/2018 and Daily News Issue No. 12,210 dated 28/06/2018.
2. Zanzibar Social Security Fund has
set aside funds for the operation during the financial year 2018/2019. It is
intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible
payments under the contract for supply, Installation and Commissioning of
Office Furniture.
3. Zanzibar Social Security Fund now
invites sealed tenders from eligible ‘National’ Suppliers for the supply of Office
Furniture. The list of items are

- Tendering
will be conducted through the National Competitive procedures specified in
the Public Procurement Act number 11 of 2016.
5. Interested eligible Tenderers may
obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the
office of the Secretary, ZSSF Tender Board P.O.BOX 2716 Kilimani Mnara wa Mbao
from 2.30 am to 15.30 hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public
holidays.
6.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in
English and additional sets may be
purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to
the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable
fee of 50,000/= Tanzania shillings. Payment should be by banker’s cheque or
cash paid to the following account detail of Zanzibar Social Security Fund:

7.
All
Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in the form
of bankers cheque or bank guarantee in the amount of Tanzania shillings One
Million (TZS 1,000,000/=) or freely
convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers.
8. All
tenders in one original plus two copies,
properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address
below at or before 11.00am on Thursday, 27TH
September , 2018. The outer cover of the tender shall be marked “TENDER FOR SUPPLY INSTALLATION AND
COMMISSIONING OF OFFICE FURNITURE.”. Tenders will be opened promptly
thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who
choose to attend in the opening at the Conference Room Zanzibar Social Security
Fund, Kilimani Mnara wa Mbao.
9. Late
Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders
not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not
be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
