Zanzibar Stone Town Built Heritage Job Creation

First of all let me thank our main funders of this particular Programme are EU and ACRA

Board Members, ZSTHS Members, Invited Guests and Medias.
 
Thank you very much for attending this important event which is a land mark project for Zanzibar Stone Town and Zanzibar in general.
 
As you all witness the signing ceremony which is no more than an agreement of understanding, for working together  for  the future of zanzibarians,  for restoring their History and Heritage which we Zanzibaries proud off. And because of this we are recognized as one of the Historic cities of the World by the UNESCO.
 
This project will enable us to do some of the assignment which we have signed these today.
 
1.      To train short courses on restoring the Stone Town houses.
2.      To start laboratory experiences on analysing the materials which are used in restoring the Stone Town Houses in collaboration with SUZA.
3.      Project will work with Karume Institute of Science and Technology in creating a curriculum on restoration and civil engineering on Stone Town Heritage Buildings.
4.      To have a joint meetings with our Partners and different stakeholders on inheritance of our Zanzibar Heritage History and Culture.
5.      Training of teachers between stakeholders, partners and students in general.
 
Lastly, let hope that in three years time by the end of this project, we have achieved our goals and targets for the future, of our Zanzibar heritages culture history.
