Vodacom’s Supa Cheka continues to pull millions of customers by the day.
“This is a clear indication that our customers need to have 24 hour access to
the internet and affordable SMSes. Tanzanians have clearly joined the data race.
This could change the way we are used to doing things,” says Vodacom’s Managing
Director Rene Meza.
Supa Cheka, which is available to prepaid customers only has created great
excitement in the market.
Meza says that so far there are millions of customers
using the internet to browse, stream and download information within just a day
of launching this product.
Customers get 50 Megabytes (MBS) for only Tsh400 on Supa Cheka. This is
equivalent to one week’s access to facebook. They also get 30 minutes of talk
time and 100 SMSes for the same amount.
For Ths300, customers get 15MBS which
is about three days’ access to facebook , 20 minutes of talk time and 50SMSes.
Those who opt for the Tsh 200 bundle get 10MBS which is about two days’ access
to facebook , 10 minutes of talk time and 25SMSes.
“Our aim is to ensure that all Tanzanians can make the most of data services and
that is why we also have a package for those who only want to spend Tsh100. On
Supa Cheka they will also get 10 SMSes.
All a customer needs to do to access
these exciting packages is to dial *149*01#,” says Meza.
According to Meza, Vodacom has a lot more interesting products and services
that are tailor made for the needs and lifestyles on the way.
