  In May, 2009, Chinise Government invested more than 200,000 USD in China Medical Team Eye Centre in Mnazi Mmoja Hospital (MMH), including the whole equipments such as phacoemulsificstion system, non contact tonometer, Ophthalmic A/B Scan, Auto-Refractor Keratometer  and some operation consumption su as intraocular lens, viscoelastic agents etc. In the picture Dr. Jijiangdong the first Chinese eye specialist to Zanzibar, performs an eye operation at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital (MMH). More than 1400 patients have undergone successfully eyes operation for two years in the Isles. This is great achievement for Zanzibar as well as for the Chinese Government since these two countries has long time relationship.
