What a Way to Mark World Environment Day

Today, the world marks environmental day. 

In Zanzibar the entire troop of Department of Environment and allies are in Pemba. 

If you are in Unguja please visit the beach side of Mnazi Mmoja Main Hospital - just nearby there it's a long time 'dumping site: you will see used syringes, pampers (both for kids and ladies), bandages, and other utensils for surgery, at least. 

Do we need somebody from xxx to come here and say 'please clean this mess/garbage'. It's sad to see this kind of filth, pile up of 'real' dangerous garbages - kids are playing around with that - they o and pick something (I saw them this weekend). 

 The incinerator has been fixed up there for many years - but ...................may the preference is to dump garbage somewhere else.
