King of Bongo Flava Al Kiba performs at 6 Degrees South Exclusive Party

In an exclusive cocktail party supporting the local tourism industry, the owner of 6 Degrees South invited Ali Kiba, also known as the King of Bongo Flava, to make a special appearance where he performed his most loved tracks to the unexpectant audience.

KingKiba made a surprise appearance at the glamorous event which was sponsored by ZMMI and Vodacom Tanzania. The event celebrated the rich heritage and culture of the island, as well as the reputation of Zanzibar as a preferred destination and was attended by more than 250 delegates which included government officials, members of the private sector and prominent members of society.

King Kiba is best known for his Afropop and Bongo Flava and is an accomplished artist who has received various nominations including African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), and received an MTV Europe Music Award for Best African Act for his bestselling album Cinderella.

Ali Kiba, who has been in the music business since 2005, has a huge fan base in Tanzania and across the African continent.

The restaurant owner Saleh M Said, who has a great love for culture, food and music, organized the event to celebrate Zanzibar’s extensive culture and the restaurants’ achievement in its six years of existence.

“It is our constant endeavour to provide the very best service and create unforgettable memories for everyone who visits 6 Degrees South.” commented Saleh Said, “For this reason, I wanted to have Ali Kiba perform here tonight to create yet another memorable event. Tonight, we not only celebrate 6 Degree’s achievements but the achievements of our partners and stakeholders as well." he continued.
