Vodacom prepaid customers to enjoy Ramadhan Offer

Dar es Salaam, 25^st July, 2012 … Leading telecommunications company, Vodacom Tanzania, has introduced an offer that will see enjoy unlimited voice calls, SMS services and data services at only TShs 250 per day throughout the month of Ramadhan.

This is an offer that will run every day from 11pm to 7am, and over the weekends from Friday 11pm to Monday 7am. To enjoy this offer, customers will be required to dial *102*250#. This is a daily offer, and will need to be recharged on a daily basis through the same procedure. The offer is valid for on-net calls but SMS services are available to all networks within the country.

Rene Meza, Vodacom Tanzania Managing Director, explains that this is an important season for Muslims across the world, hence the need to ensure that they constantly keep in touch with their loved ones at an affordable rate.

“We have introduced this offer mostly for our Muslim brothers and sisters. This is a period that is very precious to them and we want to give them a communication package that they will be happy with. More so, they form a large chunk of our customers here in Tanzania and we are proud of them for their support they have shown to us through the years. As they mark the holy month of Ramadhan, we want them to feel that they are part of the Vodacom family through this offer,” says Meza.

This move comes a day after Vodacom Foundation launched the Share and Care campaign in Tanga. The campaign, which was incepted five years ago, is aimed at providing monetary and material goods to orphanages during the month of Ramadhan.

Care and Share campaign is the only means at Vodacom Foundation which addresses issues facing orphans and orphanage centers. For the past five years hundreds of orphan’s lives have been changed and improved through this campaign, something that the Foundation, and the entire Vodacom Tanzania family, takes pride in.

“We shall continue to give our customers the best we can. Were it not for them, Vodacom Tanzania would not have come this far. We wish our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy month of Ramadhan,” concludes Meza.
