Asaalaam Aleikum!
I’m honored to have
this opportunity to represent the Government of Zanzibar in this important
event of receiving ISO inspection report for Security and Quality of the
Zanzibar Registration and Identity Card Office.
As we are all aware
that this is the seventh time for this office to be audited by the ISO inspectors
for quality and security of it’s registration and production processes. The
Government of Zanzibar is very proud to be found conforming to both, ISO 27001
for security and ISO 9001 for quality.
In our previous
ceremony last year when we were celebrating the
sixth anniversary of
ISO compliance for Zanzibar ID office wemade a promise that we will continue to play a leading role on
ICT development in the region.
Today again, we are
proud to be awarded yet another two certificates, ISO 27001 for security and ISO
9001 for quality after the successful audit on our ICT infrastructure and
e-government system.
We are determining to
maintain these standards so that we can continue to provide our citizens with
quality services and maintain good governance.
On behalf of the
Government of Zanzibar I would like to congratulate the Directors and all staff
of the Zanzibar ID Office and Directory of ICT for their tireless effort to
maintain this prestigious International Standard status and to continuously improve
their working processes as the Inspector Avi has demonstrated to us.
This achievement
prove your determination to serve Zanzibar people with dignity, fairness and
therefore achieve the Government goals of providing quality services to its citizen
and maintain good governance.
As e-government
project is now rolling to other government departments I plead to all my fellow
civil servants to prepare ourselves to handle and manage our service delivery
systems in the same professional manner.
Again I would like to
thank our internal auditor Ms. Merav for her tireless work of making sure our
two prestigious offices maintain ISO standards for its daily activities. We
appreciate your services and expertise.
Thanks you all for your
intentions.
