Please be informed that His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein, the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council has assented Act No. 7 enacted by the Zanzibar House of Representatives to amend the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) Act No. 9 of 1999 as amended by Act No. 11 of 2009.
Following this important step forward, SUZA has now been expanded through merging with the Zanzibar Institute of Financial Administration (ZIFA) and College of Health Sciences (CHS) which will now with immediate effect turn into Schools of Business and Health & Medical Sciences respectively while the Zanzibar Institute of Tourism Development (ZIToD) turns into the Institute of Tourism Development, all three under SUZA.
