
Passengers who have already booked these flights will find that their tickets have been canceled and BA will be offering the choice to either re-route via Nairobi or receive a full refund.
After March 31st, passengers can fly to or from Dar via Johannesburg or Nairobi on another carrier and onward to London via BA. Those flights can be booked through BA.
As for any canceled nights due to late arrivals or early departures, cancellation terms will be as per our terms and conditions and clients will need to claim through insurance or through BA.
Emirates has responded quickly to the gap left by BA. The airline announced that as of February 1st, it will replace the Airbus A340-500 which currently flys between Dubai and Dar es Salaam with the larger and more comfortable B777-300ER. This is a 40% increase in seat capacity for the daily flights between Dubai and Dar es Salaam, an additional 1,400 seats per week.
