Zantel opens a new shop in Muzammil Centre, Zanzibar

Telecom Company, Zantel has officially launched a Next Telecom Dealer Shop in Muzamil Centre, Mlandege street in Zanzibar, the move aimed at offering their customers immense convenience and expand the circle of customer service.

The unveiling of this outlet comes with the promise of superior quality customer service and access to the company’s mobile solutions including handsets, devices, air time data settings, prepaid lines and internet modems.

The shop will also offer customers the opportunity to deposit and withdraw money on its mobile commerce service, EzyPesa.



Speaking at the launch event which was witnessed by managers from Emirates Sales service, Airtel , Precision Air and other staff from the surrounded outlets in the center, Zantel’s Director of Commercial Zanzibar, Mohamed Mussa expressed the firm’s appreciation to its customers for their enormous support and loyalty to the Zantel brand.

“Zantel is committed to ensuring our services touch everyone in Zanzibar and that we provide the most reliable and consistent quality of service to all our customers. This new outlet will ensure that our customers in Mlandege access the services they need with ease.”

The event was honored by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Hon. Said Ali Mbarouk, who on his remarks commended Zantel for being a major player in the telecom industry in Zanzibar and the company’s tax compliance which led to be announced one of the biggest tax payers.

“This shop represents the dedication and the desire of Zantel to offer customers a place to access products and services in a simple, easy and timely manner. Good customer service is at the core of business growth and hence economic engine of growth which will in turn help the economy thrive," said Hon. Mbarouk.

Hon Mbarouk also urged Zantel to continue bringing easier communications to the Zanzibaris and also requested to have more of such outlets in order to increase reach to many who use telecommunication on daily basis.

The new shop will be operating from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 17.00 hours, which will also help reduce congestion to the already existing shops in Darajani, Mfereji wa Wima, Mchangani and Kokoni.
